• Plasma fractionation
• Biopharmaceuticals
• Pharmaceuticals
• Chemicals API

Except Plasma fractionation and Biopharmaceuticals all other departments are closed. 
What is the strategy behind this?

After a decade of trial why RLS moved from Diversification to Concentration.

One of the key reasons might be to focus on Large scale  Manufacturing rather than services.

If you carefully analyse, all the service sectors related projects are closed completely. Projects related to manufacturing are focused.

At present, Xenomouse plays a key role in discovery of therapeutic antibodies. Therapeutic antibodies has displaced all other molecules in the race of drug discovery. In small molecules, Hetrocyclic molecules and natural products played a major role. Recently MAbs has taken pivotal role in drug discovery. Discovering and bring to market is always cumbersome process. Especially in MAbs it is complicated. Xenomouse has solved lot of problems. If a known target is there, discovering a novel  therapeutic human monoclonal antibodies  will take less than a year and validating is simple. From discovery to manufacturing takes around five years. Hence with in a span of six years , you can role out a novel MAb. Statistics says the same. 

But acquiring Xenomouse technology is not easy right now. Other than that , getting approval from animal ethics committee is also a trouble. If these two are solved, then from developing countries you can see lot of novel molecules. Read the following report for details of Xenomouse technology
